The Raven

Here's a raven for a friend who's starting his own YouTube channel, this doubles as a wallpaper and a header image. It took around a day all told. I learned that painting in greys on a black background quite often means allowing less to be more. even the slightest hint of the grey can create depth that simply wasn't there before. Too much gret washes out the contrast and makes it appear incredibly flat. You can see the timelapse video here - Raven artwork 2017
